The Department of Physics at the Furkating College(Autonomus),Golaghat was founded in 2023.The department has a group of highly active and vibrant faculty members Committed to deliver high quality research starndards in pure and applied area of Physics and also trains students to become comptent and motivated physicists.The department has state of the art of Machanics,Optics,Electronics,Nano Science,Mathematical Physics,Laser etc.The department currently offers higher secondary, four year undergraduate programme.Such programmes has been assisted by sophisticated higher secondary and B.Sc level laboratories.

- To develop the mathematical skills of student to understand the fundamentals of topics in physics,which provides solid grip over the fundamental concepts of physics.
- To develop the experimental skills of students in mechanics as well as waves and optics.
